![]() ![]() The other use already had a P: drive mapped to a file server and my pCloud replaced it for her! I contacted pCloud support and was told "you can always log out from pCloud Drive and the information won't be visible for others using the same device". the other user (of which there could be many) can view and modify and delete my pCloud at will. Answer: it was my pCloud drive! It seems that once you start pCloud the drive is visible to everyone on the PC until it is restarted. I was sharing a laptop (after mine stopped working) and was asked by its owner 'what are these files?'. ![]() It does however have a security flaw that pCloud don't seem interested in addressing: other users on the same PC can see my pCloud data. PCloud is a great idea and its paid offerings look to be good value. PCloud is a great idea with a security flaw I am beginning to feel very disappointed as I read the really good reviews and thought this was it. I keep checking my.pcloud, the web interface but nothing has changed, most of my files are still not there! And it has been this way for 10 days now. Also, as another poster mentioned the upload speed issue, I am somewhat confused here as pCloud drive lists all files as be uploaded while pCloud sync is doing something. Well, the information displayed by sync and information displayed by pCloud drive is at odds. But as my files were already loaded using pCloud drive (without sync) I was not sure what would happen. I can see many of the folders and sub folders but most of them contain no files!!! I then setup pCloud sync to see if that would resolve the issue as the docs state that this is the recommended way if you are loading a large number of files. Also odd, is that as far as pCloud drive is concerned, all files have been uploaded as I can see them but cannot see most of them from my.pcloud, the web side and cannot therefore share them even though they are in the public folder. I have already sent 3 emails and have had NO RESPONSE! Here is the problem, the files I uploaded using pCloud drive from my Linux laptop (Ubuntu 18.10 with MATE desktop) are not all showing up in my.pcloud, which is the web interface. I installed it without issue but operationally it is not working as described in the docs. The technical docs from pCloud which explains how to use it assumes a MS/Windows explorer, even though I downloaded pCloud for Linux 64. ![]() I am on Ubuntu Linux 18.10 using the MATE desktop which uses CAJA as the file explorer. I am hoping this will all work out for both of us! Sincerely, M a x Mc Byte g m a il. ![]() Note, I will update this post upon successful resolution. And it is over a week now that I have not been able to share some files with partners I promised. Please explain why pcloud drive lists all files as uploaded but my.pcloud does not show them. o u d.com, and I am not trying to dis pCloud or attack, I am looking for a GREAT SERVICE PROVIDER AND THOUGHT YOU ARE/WERE IT. Note, what is interesting is that you (pCloud) responded to me here on Trustpilot and not on official pcloud support, s u p p o r t p. Yes, I am aware that on weekends a response would be delayed, but I have sent 3 emails over the last 10 days and still have received no reply except yours here on TrustPilot. ![]()
